Hi i have a intel I7 4790 NON K, RTX 2070 and 16 gb ram (not sure which one) and ive recently just upgraded my GPU from a gtx 1060 however every game that i play seem to have a lot less fps then what i used to have with my old GPU so ive gone through everything i can think of ive even reset my PC all together and re installed windows 10 with all the correct drivers and im still not getting the fps i used to on my 1060.

For example when i play on CSGO 4:3 stretched MOST video settings on LOW and Vsync off im am only getting an adverage of 100 FPS but when i had my 1060 in i was adveraging 280+

can anyone give any advice on this ? or any type of help?

Do you have the video cables plugged into the gpu or the motherboard?

What does cpu and gpu usage look like? How about temperatures?

If those cpu temperatures are correct, it is friggen HOT

Remount and repaste your cpu cooler

So you think it will be my CPU which is not performing how it should be

Well if it's that hot, it's definitely thermal throttling

i suppose the intel CPU cooler which came with it 3 years ago could do with a upgrade then have you any suggestions for me ?

I'd go with any cheaper tower cooler. GAMMAXX 400 is pretty cheap and well performing

okay thats better for me im not sure on what good temps are tbh

CPU never above like 75 on MAX load

GPU around 82-83 is fair, anything above that is worrysome

ive now installed myself a Cooler master hyper 212 and ive noticed more frames however they still are not up to what they used to be on my 1080 and my temps are now stable 20-30s .

My CPU definately needed new thermal paste and a new fan i recon lmfao.

Here is what my CPU and Fan looked like RIPPP
