Making google home mini work without casing

So my dog ate my google home mini.

 

so I did what any hobby electronics person would do: take it apart to make it work,

 

it would say ‘I can’t connect to the internet for a while’ but suddenly started working WHEN 1 of the 2 connections are made - wierd right.

 

can anyone tell me any connections that MUST be made for it to work so I can solder those down or something. E.g where is wifi antenna connection?
