I wasn't sure where to post this but I think the issue is probably motherboard related so I thought I'd post here.

I decided to incorporate some RGB for the first time in my new build and having trouble with lights flickering or not turning on at all.

I have Lian Li o11 dynamic and thought I'd put in some rgb fans in the system to make it look good. I have an Asus Prime Z 370 A mobo and I'm trying to hook up 6 Lian LI digital fans, a Lian Li strimer and Deepcool Castle 360 Ex liquid cooler(only the area with the pump has RGB, fans don't have RGB). I had to purchase a Deepcool 12 v to 5v converter so I could hook up everything to the motherboard since it only has a 12v plug and all the other rgb lights are only 5v. When I hook all the rgb, the fans either flicker, don't turn on at all or don't have the right colors. The strimer and the liquid cooler lights seem to be ok. If I take out 3 of the fans I can get the lights to be stable only on certain colors. This makes me think that its a voltage issue and that the lights aren't getting enough power to stay on. However I don't know what's causing it exactly, Is it the converter that's not supplying enough power or is it the motherboard. Is there any way to get all these lights working or not? I watched Hardwarecanucks video on putting 9 lights in and they were using Corsair command command pro to hook up 9 lights. Has anyone had a similar issue to this and are there other solutions for this or am I stuck due to my motherboard

You need to use an RGB controller if you aren't already. Sounds like you're overpopulating the RGB connector on the motherboard.
