new motherboard?

So i have the b350-f and the 5700 xt but recently i have been having issues with card black screening randomly when it's idling on desktop. tried reinstalling drivers and reseating the card, but no avail. then tried moving the card down a slot, and since then there has been no black screens. pretty bizarre because i had 1070 in the previous slot for longest time with no issues.

could there be some kind of problem with my motherboard that causes this? i've thought about swapping it out tho eventually i will once i get a hold of Ryzen 3rd gen

Its a long shot as it seems like a weird thing to be BIOS related.... but its possible. Try to update the BIOS?

But, also, if its working in the lower slot, your fine. Just run it like that, but I would still try updating the BIOS and swapping it back just to know for sure.
