So, I'm a miner, lets start with that, so I had two Gigabyte 280x in Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 mobo (Ya, I love Gigabyte) and all of that in a Fractal Design Define r4 and as you can guess the temps were pretty high close 83 on first and 80 on the second card when mining with sp120 2340rpm in the sidepanel and fans on the cards maxed out to 100 , so I got the USB3.0 PCIe 1x to 16x riser, I believe that's what it's called. So, now the Cgminer or device manager or afterburner won't recognize my second card. There are some pics below to help you guys understand what i'm talking about here.

 

So, any thoughts about the matter??

faulty riser?

got two of them used both of them, still nothing, but it does show up as "USB Controller" Under Other Devices

Weird my old fermi Gtx 570 worked with no problem, but can't get 280x's  to work. http://youtu.be/4gG2fHdmvWw
