I live in Michigan in the U.S. and am trying to decide on what pieces to build my first gaming rig with.

My budget is $600-$700USD

My aim is to have a good entry level gaming rig. Capable of powering some of the better vr games. Mainly boneworks at the moment.

Systems appearance doesn't matter to me.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1600 AF is basically a Ryzen 5 2600 with first gen IMC. It is based on 12nm, same as that of a 2600. Also, it can be OC to around 4.2ghz, same as that of a 2600; whereas the older Ryzen 5 1600 AE barely made it to 4ghz. It performs pretty similar to a 2600.

But, if you can find a used r5 2600 for around $60-70, it would be a great deal as well.
