Windows stuck at loading screen

kutalmismete

Hi,

I am having this issue for more than 1 months but I didn't care about it as I wasn't shutting down computer for long time. Windows is stucking at loading screen randomly, and it starts after a few restarts, but sometimes it starts directly so issue is totally random. I've tested RAMs with memtest86, it gave 0 errors and finished in 3.5~ hours. Meanwhile changed CPU, issue still continues. Reinstalled Windows 10, but issue still continues even without drivers after fresh installation.

Might not be happening but slow, random boot times like that sometimes means the computer is looking for a bootable OS and isn’t finding one, either because there are too many some of which are broken, or it’s being pointed to a boot drive that doesn’t have one or a boot drive that doesn’t exist or something like that.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

It is booting forever, doesn't matter how long I try it for, it starts in 3-4 seconds when it works fine, but if it exceeds that time, it isn't starting at all.

Ah. That’s different then.  So it’s either booting in seconds or not at all.  If it doesn’t work the first time every time there’s something weird going on.  It’s not an old gas engine.  It’s the “sometimes starts” that is the weird bit.

Is the boot drives setup properly in bios? Maybe your cmos battery is dying and this causing boot order to get mixed up ?

I've bought my mobo just 4-5 months ago it was fine until last month. So a few days ago I've done another fresh install ( previous one was just overwriting on old drive and not by formatting it ) by formatting drive entirely and issue is still happening ( it stucked while booting installation after formatting drive ?‍♂️ ). I can say windows starts with 3x dot spins during loading screen when it works, but if it goes for 4th spin, I am knowing that it is being forever. Last night tried to restart once and it booted successfully around 7th reboot. I have also updated bios but nothing changed.

Issue was related with motherboard it seems, I have replaced motherboard and it is fine now.

I wonder what was the reason, because system was working fine except booting ( I also downgraded bios to see if it is about bios version but it didn't work either. )
