CPU not maxing out !!

Go to solution Solved by unclewebb,

The 34 multiplier is only used when a single core is active. The C states have to be enabled as well to use the highest multiplier.

Some Intel CPUs support limited overclocking so you might be able to add +4 to those multiplier numbers. Try using Intel XTU or ThrottleStop or your bios to see what is possible.

So my i5-2400 has a base clock at 3.1 Ghz and a Turbo of 3.4 Ghz.

But under load my processor does not exceed 3.3 Ghz , Hence not turbo boosting to max (3.4 Ghz)

I know 100 mhz on 4 cores wont make much difference but i still want that.

I 've seen many users getting 3.4 Ghz while gaming and also if you go to userbench test there are many users who are getting full speed.

====

CPU temps are quite low.

It is 32 at idle and 55 at load.

Is there any settings to disable at BIOS?

Like CPU C STATES?
