My Corsair HS50 only works from one side when I want to use the mic

I tried different jack to jack adaptaters and the problem is still here... What can I do and/or what is causing this? Should I get a refund?

Like, there are only one audio channel when you connect it through adapter but it works fine when connected directly (just without a mic) ? Sounds like short of some sort, RMA it.
