Hello, I have been having problems with updating windows. I had my ssd in my brothers computer and it was having problems updating so I backed up the ssd. I have now built my new computer and reinstalled windows to the version 1909. There was still some updates to install so I downloaded them and let them installed but it is now having problems installing the updates. The only thing that has been carried over from both computer is the ssd but I don’t think that should be a problem in installing updates essential as it been formatted and had a fresh install. It’s a Adata XPG SX8200 Pro M.2-2280 512GB and the only other similarity is that brothers computer runs a amd rx480 and my new one is a rx5700 xt.

Are you given a reason as to why for the updates fail?

Have you tried unsing the comprehensive update package from Mircosoft?

Dumb question, but you didn't state if you did it or not, have you tried just rebooting?  Sometimes updates will fail because they are waiting on a reboot for another update as they may depend on something.

When finished updating it tried to restart my pc and when restarting it said there was an error and it was trying to fix it. It then rebooted and said there was error and it gave me a screen with a few options , one of which is that I can restore to a previous save file
