Way back I used the OG program called Secure Erase. It ran on command prompt and had the option of writing 1s, 0s, or random bits in your disks. I can't find it anymore so youre out of luck on that department.

A quick google searched and I found this http://killdisk.com/killdisk-freeware.htm

I never used it but I installed it myself for a quick look. It looks like the free version does exactly what you want.

Just a heads up. Erasing a disk is basically writing through the entire disk. If you have a 4TB disk or something, its going to take hours. So don't be shocked.

Thank you I'll give this program a try!

I know that it's going to take a while to securely delete a hard drive. But I think it's worth it.
