Upgrading From Gtx 650

bobo347844

I currently run a over clocked GTX 650 and feel like upgrading to something with a little bit more power, I have considered getting a 2GB 7770 and then later getting a second one and running them in crossfire. I don't have much money to spend ~$150 and my motherboard only supports crossfire. Any other suggestions?

A 7770 is a good card for $150; however, how soon are you going to be getting the second one? If it is not to long from now I would recommend waiting getting a single better gpu than 2 lower end gpus. Then you wouldn't have to worry about scaling. Both the 7850 and 7870 are excellent options if you wait and save your money. They provide great performance per dollar and include Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite, 2 great games. So, I would recommend to wait and save your money to get a single better gpu.

Hopefully this was helpful  :)

I wouldn't be getting the second one for at least half a year afterwards[

I would honestly wait until you have a bit more cash and then spring for something in the 7870/660ti range, otherwise I don't think you'll notice enough of a difference for it to feel like money well spent. /:

I wouldn't think that it would be worth the money upgrading from a 650 to a 7770. I'd save up a bit more for a 7870 or something around there.

Old shit no one cares about but me.

if you are going to get the second 7770 about a month after the first i suggest not buying any 7770.

i would suggest you

wait and save up the money that you were going to put in the 7770 and get a much better one card from AMD or nvidia for the money you have saved.
