Hard drive transfer troubles

I just bought a new laptop that comes with a ssd as the main drive and a empty 2.5in bay so the plan is to take my old harddrive from a previous laptop and put it into the new laptop. My question is would there be any problems regarding accessing my files from the drive and would the drive even work as seeing the my old laptop booted off that harddrive which came straight from the manufacturer. Old laptop is a acer aspire r15(i7 7500u 940mx that broke) new laptop is a msi GF63 9SC-653 (i5 9300H GTX 1650 max q).
