Recently bought a AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X, my questions

For anyone with the same problem, I talked to AMD and they recommended me to clear the CMOS, after that it worked!

Hi all

I've just (yesterday, Nov 28) completed my Threadripper 3960X build with an ASUS PRIME TRX40-PRO motherboard and can't get AMD Ryzen Master working.

I get the same message as the original poster in this thread, I've updated Windows, updated BIOS for the motherboard and installed the latest AMD Chipset Drivers and reinstalled the software (AMD Ryzen Master) several times.

I'm running a clean install of Windows 10, and even re-installed Windows from scratch once without any success.

None of the solutions found in this forum and elsewhere seems to be working for me and I can't find any logs regarding this error message, neither on the hard drive or in the event viewer.

And on another note, I find the ide temperature quite high at 49C (130F) using a Corsair Hydro H115i Pro (Pump at Exteme ~2800RPM, FANS at ~ 1600RPM) any one else using this CPU and have lower (or higher) idle temperatures?

My idle temps with r7 3700x are 55c with 360mm aio. So your temps are normal. So what message ar you gettin?

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Thank you for your reply, maybe my temps are quite normal then.

Sorry missed the error message, it's the classic:

Ryzen Master unable to initialize. Kindly reinstall the program.
Hence Aborting!

Hello all,

I may have some good news for you.

I have discovered why my RYZEN MASTER has been failing, and it is a conflict with NZXT CAM. Just exit CAM from the System Tray, then launch RYZEN MASTER with no trouble.

FYI, I have discovered a similar conflict between HWiFO and ThermalTake TT RGB Plus. Exiting RGB Plus allows HWiFO to run as well.

If these don't solve your issue, try exiting other items in you System Tray.

;)
