I have no idea what to look for when it comes to a good laptop for coding, like for making applications and programs.

What kind of specs should I be looking for? Are AMD processors well supported for these kinds of applications like the Intel competition?

I have $800 max budget, and I need some good battery life (8 hrs).

I would like to have a 14 inch screen, but I'm not too picky, but i would like it to be 1080p IPS, and some good speakers.

Just coding? or compiling?

Are you doing any gaming?

To get that much battery life you'll probably just have to grab a battery bank that can charge a laptop, and all laptop speakers will be trash just get some nice headphones or wireless headphones.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
