Hi there,

I'm using a Mac mini (late 2012) [2,5 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 480 GB Crucial BX 300] with macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

I irregularly run into the mini beachballing when...

- before I enter my password on startup

- during regular use

There does not seem to be any pattern as to when and why the mini does beachball.

I reinstalled macOS two days ago in order to rule out the operating system or artefacts from a previous High Sierra to Mojave update as the cause of the issue.

Upon reinstalling the os I ran into the same issue, when I was prompted to choose a password during setup.

Is it possible that my SSD is causing these issues or are there other components likely to be the root of all evil?

Thanks in advance.

Ron
