Hey guys,

I'll be brief with this one - my vertical GPU bracket causes weird errors, sometimes my PC gets stucked in infinite boot loop, other times it boots for a moment, blank screen and immediately powers down. If it goes into Windows after a few seconds I get a Bsod (no pics, it's pointless because message is different each time).

Specs:

Bracket: Phanteks PH-VGPUKT_02 – Universal Vertical GPU Bracket

Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro

GPU: Sapphire RX 5700 XT Nitro+

Display: Aorus AD27QD

BIOS: latest F10C

Windows: latest 1903 (Win10)

I'm sure it's this brackets fault. No matter if I use DP or HDMI. My rig works flawlessly without it. However, it does work no problem with same GPU and my old Z97-HD3. The riser cable is rather close to MOBO. I've read somewhere that it could be cable shielding issues. Is it possible to DIY shield a cable? Any ideas how to get this set up to work? I need my aesthetics.

Thanks for your time.

it might have some kind of damage on it. have you tried checking the slots of the PCIE lane on the bracket if there is nothing bent?

@Ehmc130, @Martin2132

Thanks for your replies.

I've run it to the second slot, same issues. Nothing wrong with the slots too.
Like I said, I'm 100% sure both board and this bracket work, but not together. I've tried my GPU in both slots on the board without the riser and it works, I've also tried that very same GPU with riser and a different board (Z97-HD3) and it works too. It's something between the board and riser that causes such errors.
