So I am using Notebook Fancontrol software to be able to make my fans spin faster to lower my CPU temps because my fans don't spin as fast as they used to in Win8

The software doesn't have a default setting for my type of laptop (Asus x550jx ) so I am forced to create a new template

Obviously I don't know much about details of such stuff and I am scared

There is a setting which is named EC poll interval and the PDF manual of the software says that the default value is 3000 ms and the lower the value is the more your CPU will be stressed

My setting is at 100ms

My question is : Is having EC poll interval at 100 ms bad for my cpu? can this software break my laptop motherboard?

I am trying to use it to make my fans spin as fast as they used to in Win8 which is 4300 rpm at 85 celcius. I have Win10 now and the drivers are shit. It lets the laptop reach 95 celsius before spinning fast
