RDR2 Disable Cloud Safe!

Hey.

 

I just want to warn you that cloud safing can fuck up your safes and refuse to load manual safes from your drive. If you lose connection for what ever reason to rockstar while the launcher try to sync your files a popup will show up and ask what to do. If that happens, its already too late.

Lost 8h and couldnt get the Game to load my non cloud safes at all.

 

Launcher->settings->RDR2

Did you try using the Shadow Copy backup that Windows make automatically once a day?

Right click on the save game folder> Properties>Pervious Versions tab>Open

 

Shadow Copy automatically backs up files on your PC.

I back up my safe folder after every session. I do this for Years with every Game.

RDR2 refuse to use them. Even after i pulled the Internet cable and deleted all non related safes.

Very weird situation. I played the content again now and disabled cloud safe.

In RDR2 the save game is tied to a lot of files:

cfg.dat

cloudsavedata.dat

KeyMappings

Player

ProfileSettings

I backup the whole folder.

That's weird,A lot of people have no trouble using someone else's save files.

I know its weird. The problem was the Launcher, not the Files. Thx for your reply anyway. Disable the cloud safe function should avoid further Problems.

Thanks for the warning,I don't want to lose My Max Payne saves  (I didn't buy RDR2,I will buy in a few months when the bugs are fixed)

Beside this one very annoying happening, the game runs realy fine. The LOD is insane, even for Rockstar Standarts.
