Hi guys,

Looking to upgrade my old pc from around 4/5 years ago really not cutting it these days.

I'm a we developer / marketer and will be using this pc for both of those along with some of new games call of duty, etc..

Can someone help me decide between the AMD Ryzen 5.3600 or X. Or Ryzen 7 3700X

Cheers guys

the 3700X is a solid buy, great for workstation as well as gaming tasks

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Personally I would definitely go 8/16 today, especially given your history kf 4-5 year upgrade schedule. 3700x is on point on so many levels.

Often we see people complain about having not got enough CPU

Rarely do we see people complain they got too much.

Within reason of course, I'm not telling you to go get a 3900x to future proof yourself. But even if you did, I wouldn't say that's a terrible idea.
