Need help

I have been out of pc building for a long time as kids and life came into the picture. So i figured i might get some help here.  Since i been gone so long  I am kinda lost on what is good on the market for a new PC building. My wife now plays games with me and we want to build 2 new PC's for a gaming area in the house and sit side by side and game. I have a 4000$ budget. I also was thinking of making these 2 PC rack mount systems and get a tower to also put the home stereo and other systems for the house in it also for the future.So the idea of the thread was to see if the community wanted to help me find and rate items and get the most for my buck.
