Hey, I'm looking to buy a laptop in the near future. I just don't know what rig I need.

Budge & location: I live in Israel but I think I can arrange purchasing it from the US, not sure. In terms of Budget, I guess I'll let myself go up to 1300$ tops. I would really prefer to pay less though. The area of 800$ would be awesome.

Aim: that's the difficult part.

I want a laptop instead of a regular pc because it's much more comfortable and because I'm gonna be a university student in about a year but my demands from my pc are weird.

I'll mostly use it for multi tabs browsing, Word, spotify and YouTube but I do have a big steam library and to be completely honest I'm also interested in using Fruity Loops and Blender just to see if I like it (and who knows what happens if I really get into each of those things..).

That means I'll mostly use it for low spec operations but I'll also want to, let's say, play the new Borderlands 3 in the weekend. I won't be looking for 60fps UHD graphics obviously and knowing myself I won't play more then, like, 3 hours at one go, but I would like it to run smoothly.

Monitors: one. If it's a laptop that's a given but if you think I'll have to get a regular pc then I guess I'll need a new one. My current monitor is trash.

Peripherals: I'm covered in terms of mice, keyboard and speakers so no need for new ones. If it's a laptop then good speakers would be nice but I have a jbl charge 4 so it's not important.

Why are you (me) upgrading: my current pc is about 8 or 7 years old and it wasn't that good even at the time.

To conclude, my preferred use of this new pc is diverse and with me not being rich, I realize it's difficult. I am also aware that wanting a laptop just makes it 10 times more difficult.

So if it's possible that would be great but I know I'm probably going to need to make changes to what I'm looking for. That's life.

Anyway, to anyone who helps, thank you very very much. I'm clueless and at your mercy.

Wow, first of all thank you so much for answering, I really appreciate it.

Second of all, you think those builds (the laptops and the desktop) could run everything I said? They can handle, idk, Fifa 19 or GTA V for example?

I don't know about the laptop but the desktop will run most games around 80-100 FPS.
