I have not used my camera in a few months, I went to use the camera today, and this strange issue happened. before I tell you, here are the specs:

  • Nikon D3200
  • Sigma DC 18-200MM

So, what's happened is that whenever I power the camera on with this specific lens, the image keeps vibrating like CRAZY. This makes the image unusable.

Thanks, Tristan.

Well, that's certainly not normal. There are a couple things I can think of that could be causing it, but it's going to be a bit hard to tell what's wrong. First off, the camera's sensor itself could be shaking for some reason, probably due to it coming loose from the frame somehow.

It could also be a mirror or piece of glass inside the lens shaking. If you have another compatible lens handy, I would recommend trying it so you can rule that option out.

The only other thing I can think of is it being some sort of software problem, which would probably be difficult to solve yourself. If that turns out to be the case, you can't do too much other than contact Nikon support.

Hope this helps, and good luck to you!

I have tried another lens, and it works well.

I might try support, thanks.

Yeah, in that case, it's definitely something that has come loose inside the lens. You can try shaking it around, and you might be able to hear whatever it is, but you won't be able to know exactly what without taking it apart.
