Replace Logitech Z5500 control unit ?

espr3ss0

I've had the Logitech Z5500 for many years now and is slightly failing. The main control unit isn't working so well and wonder if I can replace it maybe with something else that will be compatible with the with the Sub & Speakers ?

I should probably have mentioned ... The unit is connected to my Xbox One via Optical. Also wondering about something that I can use with Alexa, any suggestions ?

The speakers themselves use typical speaker wire, correct? You can use them directly with any AV Receiver you want (basically any 5.1 receiver worth it's weight will have optical). The sub gets a bit more difficult, since there's no traditional output for the sub.

You could use the bypass cables listed above to connect the sub to an AV Receiver, and then run the speakers directly into the Receiver.

You could actually connect all your speakers to the Logitech Sub as per usual, and use the full set of bypass cables into an AV Receiver - but I'm really not sure how the Receiver would handle speakers that are already being powered by the amp built into the sub.
