Well, this is your problem:

image.png.29114fb2c80e446b0c8f29ece935df6c.png

Your multiplier is set to x8.0 ...

The processor base frequency is 3.20 Ghz so that should be set to 32 with a max turbo to 46. Not sure how this would have gotten messed up without going into BIOS.

I don't have any experience with adjusting frequency on non-OC chips, but try going into your BIOS and see if there is a setting there you can change the multipliers

Are you sure you are stress testing in the screenshot? It honestly doesn't look like the core is touched at all.

Hello,

So when I bought this PC a year ago I really thought I knew enough about pcs but I definetly didnt.. the proof:

I bought and Alienware R7 on BestBuy REBURFISHED because it was on sale and now the Page doesnt even exist anymore feels nice..(thanks WaybackMachine : https://web.archive.org/web/20190703213100/https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/alienware-aurora-r7-nvidia-gtx-1060-i7-8700-16gb-ram-128gb-sdd-2tb-hd-win-10-home-certified-refurbished/12725352)

So for my Specs I know some but I dont know if this is the ones needed to solve my problem os just incase ive also put the dialgx or something Soecs informations down there aswell of mypoor user benchmarch.. Its also possible its a setup problem as all ive installed on my pc was Nvidia Geforce. I have plugged the card(in the back , bottom) to my monitor(I believe) and I dont know what I do wrong.. honestly Im down for a full reset with a correct setting up if it is my problem.. I hope someone can help me.. I dont know how the heck I tolerated this a whole year!

Benchmark:

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/21163540

Basic Specs :

Intel Core i7-8700 @ 3.20GHz

Ram : 16GB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (Dell)

Full Specs are this dxdiag text file

Im also *maybe* up to change an item in it its a hardware problem but Im trying to really save myself from spending more on it, as a student I dont have this much money.

Are you plugging into power, or running off battery?

Have you check your cpu temps? Maybe you might need to reapply thermal paste.

Ive heard I have insanely good cpu temps, it is normally running at 23 °C(73 °F)

What are your temps under load?

I hit the 35° C, when in 100% usage but it never goes more than that.. is that a problem? It barely took 10-20 seconds to rise to 35 °C (I used Intel Extreme Tuning Utility ) but it never went above

and I don't know how to do a GPU under load test

Something's not right here. 35C is really low even for a water-cooled system.

Have you touched any of your CPU frequency settings in your BIOS?

Also, UserBenchmark is showing you have some background CPU tasks going on (47%). Make sure everything is closed when you are running this for an accurate score.

I have never touched anything in BIOS , I believe

Download and open CPU-Z, do a stress test, take a screenshot of your CPU-Z page and post it here for me if you can. Something is not looking right about your clock speeds.

I have never touched the BIOS, when I go in BIOs I cant change the speed, but thats indeed my problem and I dont know how I could fix it
