Computer not booting correctly & No display

So I’ll start off with a part list

b450-I ASUS (updated to the latest 9/18 bios)

16gb Corsair vengence RGB 3200

1TB Nvme Intel

Ryzen 3600

RTX 2070 Super

so the computer was working fine a day or two ago with no part changes, decided to buy a new power supply so the old CX550 Corsair could be used in my parents build. I switch out the power supply with a CORSAIR RM750 and I’m getting a no display (using HDMI on the graphics card) I am getting no lights on my motherboards troubleshoot, but cpu, case, GPU fans are maxed out and board is lighting up with its RGB.

I then checked the GPU by putting it into my parents Ryzen 2200g, 8Gb of TeamForce, MSI b350m (updated to support Ryzen 3000) and 240gb of Sandisk storage. It worked fine and HDMI showed on the big screen tv.

I then decide to switch the CPU, and it boots up fine and detects it on the b350msi

At this point I lost it because everything seems to be working, even put the 2200g into the B450 and it worked. So I guess we can conclude motherboard and CPU, and GPU are fine?

Decided to go back to my house and grab my monitor that uses Display Port and put back all the parts into my case.

it boots... sometimes, the motherboard troubleshoot lights do light up but don’t stay on. The GPU still runs at max speed for a second or two which I guess is normal. But sometimes if I restart it looks like it gets stuck and don’t boot and the fans just spin constantly at max.

i also tried switching to the old power supply cx550 but it still gives me that problem.

Any troubleshooting steps I could do to confirm anything here as to why my computer sometimes gets stuck booting if i use HDMI and why even when I use DP it sometimes doesn’t boot.

Try changing the PCI-E lane the GPU is in, also you might need to try and make certain that the power supply cables are properly seated - maybe shine a torch into the 24-pin on your mobo to see if there's any dirt or something in it. You could also do this for the HDMI port and DP port on your GPU and other power ports.

Just some ideas, honestly I'm not too sure what it could be. Usually with a PC it's something completely unrelated like RAM seating xD

There is only one PCI-E lane since it’s mini itx,

It’s just weird to me because I’ve maybe taken out the ram (2 sticks and only 2 slots on the board) and switched the seating plenty of times, because of the amount of times I’ve taken out the graphic card since the clip is hard to reach without taking out the ram. It’s just weird to me why the motherboard gets so stuck and doesn’t show any debug led’s at the bare minimum. And why sometimes it boots fine and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m thinking it’s the motherboard BIOS. Since that’s the last thing that I can think of because of how I guess new the Ryzen 3000 cpu’s are, so there are still bugs in ASUS’s board.

The debug light always flashes for Red for CPU first and then a second time (then GPU fans settle down) and then it flashes white for the GPU and then Green for Boot. And then the computer Boots like normal.

The CPU is fine no bent pins or anything, there is some small traces at the base of thermal paste but it’s Grizzly paste so it’s not conductive and the full length of the pin is still clean and the times I do get a boot, I ran a 15 min stress test on the CPU and GPU and Ram and nothing happened. I haven’t overclocked anything.

Usually I have to just turn off the PC and back on and it works fine. When it can’t boot.

I think it’s the RAM. Though it doesn’t make sense on why so. It never acted up like this idk what to do now. Return this and get another ram module and hope the same thing doesn’t happen, or switch over to GSkill ram that is made for Ryzen? Any suggestions on ram that works fine with my motherboard?
