That just sounds insane though lol, even 1 4k stream is pretty hard on a system/network. Unless they're using a restreaming service that does all of the other work for them.

It also depends on if the websites reencode for people with less bandwidth.

but really it depends on how it's initially encoded, a medium/slow 720p encode will look better than a 1080p ultra fast encode depending on your bitrate.

NOTE TO MOD's: KINDLY MOVE THIS THREAD IF IT NEEDS TO BE IN THE VIDEO CARD SECTION...

Hello to all and thank you for taking the time to read my post,

My customer needs to setup a PC to stream on an Adult platform.  She will be using 4 instances of OBS Studio SIMULTANEOUSLY to stream on 4 different LiveCam sites.  Unfortunately, in order to accommodate the general masses, each site's recommendation for a PC is bare minimum spec.  What they don't tell you is that part of the site's algorithm to rank the girls on the page is the quality of her PC, her stream, bit rate, fps, resolution (1080p or 4k) and overall PC performance like CPU load, % RAM used, etc.  So if you had the bare minimum s they recommend you would be listed on page 14 instead of page 1.

I've researched the net and there is very little info on the web about this topic and hardware needed.  In fact, recently I came across a PC that had $1,000 nVidia graphics card, but it wasn't until I turned on the onboard video (gpu) that I was able to unlock the HD streaming options of the LiveCam sit's application.

So I am trying to understand the role of a GPU and if it is independent of a video card?

If there is a video card that takes over the GPU?

What is the motherboard with the most powerful GPU out there today?

And if anyone can put a complete parts list of a PC config that will meet my customer's needs?

I appreciate all relevant and expert suggestions from people who are directly familiar with this topic.

p.s.

I don't know why but all the LiveCam site's recommend an Intel-based motherboard.  There is no explanation as to why AND the PC that I enabled the GPU on and it unlocked the HD features of the app was an Intel board.

You can check which 10 series nvidia cards support NVENC, and how many streams NVENC can support at the same time, I would think it wouldn't be too hard, since they should all be the same anyways.

But you probably want an R7 2700 for the CPU in any event.

Probably don't need to go above 720p 30/60fps

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I've posted in a VideoChat model forum and everyone seems to keep the tools of their success a guarded secret.  But the few models whom I've seen are on the top rows of these sites have shared a few tidbits and have said that they set OBS INPUT to 4K (using Logitech Brio) and OUTPUT to 4k 30fps with a bit-rate of >12,000.

So for sure she'd want to go above 720p.

But I'll look into your other suggestion now.

Everyone please keep it coming.

PS!  What a great idea you gave me with that video.  I can seriously save on resources by creating an nginx!  WOW!
