Hello guys,

I unplugged the battery from my laptop because I was upgrading my hard drive.

After installing hard drive I replugged my battery and suddenly the rgb from laptop switched on (without me touching anything). But my laptop was not posting not even charging.

I unplugged battery and ran it on power cord and it was working so the issue is clearly on battery.

Does anybody knows anything about this, any help? ?

Assuming you did not damage the battery somehow in the process (which would be hard) I would guess that it's either plugged in incorrectly or too loose.

It could also be that an overcurrent (or w/e the correct term is) caused the battery to die as you plugged it back in - which is probably why the rgb turned on. This can have many reasons:  old age, a defective battery to begin with, incorrect assembly, discharge of electricity from yourself to the board/battery while working on it...

Only thing you can really do is check if it's plugged in properly and if it is, just buy a new one or try to RMA it. They aint expensive.

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.
