What Rx 5700 XT to buy?

Delighted

Hey,

I've used a gigabyte rx 5700 xt gaming oc, but the junction temperature got too hot (105-110 C) and got very loud because of this (2500rpm with three small 80mm fans) so I decided to return it. This shouldn't happen according to reviews (should be around 90C with 1600 rpm) so I think i had a defective cooler. I'm looking for a different brand this time as I have a bad feeling of getting the same one again. According to the internet more have this problem with the gigabyte variant of the card evan after replacing the thermal paste.

I'm currently looking at the following cards:

Sapphire pulse (460 euro)

Sapphire Nitro  (500 euro)

Powercolor red devil (500 euro, but not available atm)

Is it worth to get the more expensive ones (red devil and nitro) or is the pulse a good enough? Or are there other cards which are better than these?

Sapphire Pulse is the best choice.

Also, ambient air temps and your case make a difference.

10c hotter ambients or case temp = 10c hotter GPU temps.

It was 17 C in my room and it was in an open case.

And the shop even tested and confirmed it.

There are also BIOS/Driver issues rampant with the 5700 XT currently.  But that does sound like a cooler/TIM problem, which you shouldnt have to deal with on a new card.
