@TheGlenlivet I5-3470 Asus p8H61-MX R.20 (Old but will replace next year) and 16gb ddr3

Doing small updates but its christmas so I get enough to upgrade in a 2 months and I run games at around 40 fps so this could be the boost to 80 I need (BTW This is my brothers build I say I as its easier)

Then yeah.  100% compatible,  Just making sure you aren't using a motherboard that needs more than one CPU power cable.  You are good.

@TheGlenlivet What do you mean? Could you check the motherboard online because I haven't a clue what that means as im only 5 month into pc component learning and that confused me

Yeah I looked it up already.  You are good.  you only need a 4 pin cable for eh CPU power.
