I don't know if this is the right place to post this thread as this is actually intended for case ventilation...

I have an old H60 Hydro Series AIO cooler. All this years, I have been using the case' exhaust fan as the cooler's fan (wrong I know). This Bitfenix fan is very quiet but its speed is below 1200 rpm.

I want to buy a Corsair fan which is the same as the new H60's fan. But I don't know the model number, can anyone supply me with the information? I 'll need 3 of them, for intake and exhaust fan, the old H60 rad/fan will be relocated to the top of the Bitfenix Prodigy case.

It's the CW-8960056 or Hydro Series H60(2018)/H100x Replacement Fan, 120mm, 1700RPM: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling/Hydro-Series-H60(2018)-H100x-Replacement-Fan%2C-120mm%2C-1700RPM/p/CW-8960056

Like a higher rpm SP120 RGB. http://thermalbench.com/2016/09/02/corsair-sp120-rgb-led-120-mm-fan/3/

Why do you want these fans in particular? They're alright but there are probably more readily available and cheaper alternatives.

You're such an encyclopedia WoodenMarker, thanks! (BTW, are you Linus? like your video very much)!

You make my point actually, about why I m asking this fan, I just have no idea of which brand I should be getting for my case as there are so many of them out there. I want to get a couple of quiet yet can take in our push out large volume of air.

Nah, he goes by LinusTech on the forum.

There are probably some better alternatives available. Where are you shopping / located? Budget?

What are your specs? Do you still have the stock case fans?

Oh the Bitfenix stock case fans are really useless after I have recently bought a EK's Furious Vardar 3000 rpm from a retail shop in the city.

I basically need 4 of such Corsair fans because I intend to put them into the Q500L, 2 at the top, 2 at the bottom.

By the way, if I have this number of fans, do I really need to spin them up to the max speed?  I suppose 2 running at 600 rpm  will do the job of 1 running at 1200 rpm, is that how such calculation works in theory and practice?

Why not use the Vardar for the H60 and the stock case fans for system airflow?

How are the stock fans useless? What are your specs and temps?

The relationship between rpm and cfm varies depending on the fan and is most likely not linear. It's also affected by where it's being used.

Fans can be run at full speed but are designed to be run at lower ones as well.

Good idea, it's just the Vardar has a noise problem when rpm > 1800, some mechanical noise possibly due to the absence of washers, but overall I think the bearing is not as good as that of Corsair's.

Understood, will do that.   Guess have to do trial and error.

1800rpm is pretty high in general and most fans are pretty noisy at that rpm. Are you unable to just run the fan at lower rpm instead? What are your temps?

Well the temps are really dependent on my room temp. When it drops to 22~24, the motherboard (i,e, case temp) drops by 3 to 4 degrees to 33C.At load it could go up to 41+.

CPU and GPU are fine

If temps are fine, what are you looking for with new fans? Just looking to lower noise?

What cpu and graphics card?

I don't know yet actually, I am planning for a new build.  So I thought about ventilating the case' thermal because I m using the RX 570 which is rather hot being the main source of heat inside the case. In order to compensate for the graphics card's heat, maybe an Intel CPU is more preferable.

The RX 570 doesn't require anything special for cooling. What you already have should be fine. If you're not sure, run some synthetic benchmarks and look at your temps.

Sometimes, when I overclock it to 1400Mhz, a checker pattern appears filling up the whole screen and the system reboot.   Is the card more or less damaged?

That means your oc is unstable. It might mean that the card is going bad if that was happening at stock.

So if it is happening when the card is overclocked, the card is still not damaged.

But if one fine day, when it is running at stock, that pattern happens and the system reboot, then the card is faulty.

Do I understand you correctly?

Oc'ing doesn't damage the card. You might damage your card from running high voltage and at high temps though.

Artifacts can be caused by other things like faulty drivers as well so it's not a 100% indicator of a damaged card.
