New Ryzen build

Augustin
Go to solution Solved by Herman Mcpootis,

get a 3700x instead of the 3800x, and you don't need a pci-e 4.0 nvme SSD for just gaming.

Could I please get some input on these parts:

CPU:

AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8 Core,16 Threads, up to 4.5 GHz Max Boost, Socket AM4, with Wraith Prism with RGB LED Cooler , 32MB total Cache ,105W TDP ,Extended Frequency Range (XFR) in the presence of better cooling.

RAM:

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB ( 2 X 8GB) White DDR4 3200 MT/s (PC4-25600) CL16 SR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288pin For Intel and AMD Ryzen Platforms

SSD:

Gigabyte Aorus 1TB NVMe Gen 4 M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD , Read up to 5000 MB/s , Write Up to 4400MB/s,

MOTHERBOARD:

MSI B450 MORTAR TITANIUM mATX Motherboard For AMD Ryzen 2nd/3rd Gen, Socket AM4, 4XDDR4 DIMM, 2XM.2, 2XPCIE X16, 2XPCIEX1, 7XUSB, 1XType C, HDMI/DP, Lan, Internal I/O: 2XUSB2.0, 1XUSB3.1, 2X12V RGB Header

I already own a low end 1060 that I am going to upgrade at the end of the year to either a 2070 or 2080.

I have a preference for white coloured components because my case is white. My case is full ATX so I can use any size board.

The prices might seem high to Americans. I live in NZ so buying from overseas is going to incurr customs delays and taxes. PB tech is my preferred store. If PB tech doesnt have an item then it is unlikely any other store will have it.

so i ended up getting everything but I got a 2600 instead of a 3700. I realised ill likely be buying a 2060, not a higher card, so i went for the lowest ryzen 5 in stock. Thank you @Herman Mcpootis and @TheGlenlivet.

This should get me 10000 FPS in open arena :P
