5700XT performance issues

Did you update the BIOS of the motherboard to the latest before installing the 3600?

Yes. twice. After contacting Asus, their engineering department advised me that they believed the cpu to be defective. So I am returning the cpu and going to get a new one and hopefully this will resolve the issue.

Yup, that sounds about right. AMD is pretty great about their RMAs, if a tad slow.
