I have a desktop that I do around 70% of my daily work on.  I frequently have to use my laptop for the same daily work, but obviously I am away from my desktop when doing this.  Currently I use dropbox to sync all my files and this works great, but whenever I install or remove a program from my desktop, I have to also do it on my laptop.  I sometimes forget, and am left with having to do so when I am away.  Sometimes this becomes troublesome especially when I don't have a reliable internet connection on the go.  This, plus the issue of settings and other things missing no matter what is sometimes a problem.

My question is: is there some kind of software where I can designate a primary machine (my desktop) and have it automatically I guess "clone" or "sync" itself to a secondary (my laptop)?  Ideally I'd like the exact same environment with the same start menu arrangement and settings all over if possible.

If it's helpful, I use Windows 10 and have my laptop and desktop on at all times.
