which graphics card for VR?

I want to do VR with an oculus rift s, but in order to do that Id need to upgrade my graphics card. Im looking at the 20 series but I cant decide which to get

Im deciding whether to get the RTX 2060 (super) or 2070 (super). is it worth the price difference? Should I get a different graphics card entirely? The most demanding game Id play would probably be fallout 4 vr which recommends a GTX 1080

Both the 2060 Super and the 2070 super Will edge out the 1080. There's also the RX 5700 XT, which is slightly worse than the 2070 Super but costs as much as the 2060 Supers. If you can find a partner model for the same price as a 2060 Super or in the between, get that. Stay away from single fan cards though

I would recommend, if going for an upgrade, to get the RTX 2070S or better.

 

Really, NVIDIA has far better support and optimization for VR, so if your target upgrade is for VR, then I wouldn't consider the RX 5700.
