GUIminer HELP!

I wanted to test out mining (without buying an ASIC/BTC-Rig) but GUIminer won't detect my CPU's cores, I don't have a GPU.

I have a Pentium 4.

erm @Raining_Pixel not much point when intel micro processors lack performance when bitcoin or litecoin mining
a openCL based graphics card does make a difference in the world when mining

I know that there's not much point but I just wanted to see if I could set it up and mine from a pool succesfully before investing in BTC or LTC.

The Integrated Graphics Processing unit on the cpu.

you shouldn't use gui miner anyway. Cg miner is not complicated at all and will allow you much better control.

Just don't. I understand that you want to try it before spending money, but on a Pentium 4, Really?? The setup for that is going to be completely different then for any real mining equipment anyway.

I know how to build a miner, I just wanted to see if I could set it up right before I invest $1000s of dollars in mining equipment....
