I am upgrading the CPU from an i3 - 8100, and GPU from a GTX 1050Ti. Also getting an extra 500GB SSD

Any concerns/ thoughts? Just wanted to verify with the good folks here before I place my order.

get a sabrent rocket instead of the 860 evo, and an i7 8700 instead of the 9600k or just stick to a 9400F.

Why the i7 8700 recommendation? At a quick glance it seems to be more expensive with barely any advantages

having hyperthreading helps it to perform better than the 9600k, hardware unboxed was already noticing some stuttering with the i5s when tested with a 2080ti.

the 9600K is an unlocked CPU in a locked motherboard, would be pointless to get on a B360 like your own. The i7 8700 is the best value i7, has decent boost clocks at the lowest cost for a current gen i7 and with 6 cores and hyperthreading, it's pretty capable.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Hmmm, what about the i5 9500 or 9600?

the i7 8700 is a decent price jump

just stick with the 9400F then.

OK thx for the suggestion, would the GPU be able to fit in my case?

It'll fit just fine. Side note, get the evoke oc if possible, the reference 5700XT is very hot.

Would hyper threading be a benefit for me if I purely use it for gaming?
