amd dynamic switching

hi my friends laptop is having an issue where even tho the dedicated rx 460 used to be treated as the default card after a windows update the integrated r7 graphics are the default now and no matter what we do it automatically uses them or forces them back on i dont have his computer with me so i cant send all the specs or anything but i thought maybe i could still get some help
