Hi, i using like 10years old keyboard since i got my first PC.

Its old PS/2 Genius keyboard, it works still pretty well.

Thinking about buying new mechanical keyboard atm.

But idk if i should go for Low profile or not, i never tasted another keyboard then this :p

I like

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile RAPIDFIRE

Logitech G513 Carbon, Romer-G Linear

I dont really need lighting, i dont like it i will eventually turn it off

What do u think guys should i go for new keyboard, is the new mechanical keyboard worth it ?

Thanks

When it comes to peripherals, everything is opinionated.  I might like mechanical keyboards but you might not and everyones advice will be to go to a store and try a keyboard first.  Remember that switches vary wildly so don't base your opinion on a single keyboard if you try it.

I wouldn't recommend MX Speed switches (Corsair name boards with them RAPIDFIRE), they are just MX Reds with shorter actuation which will end up causing you more mistakes.  Corsair boards are good but they are not my go to recommendation.  Logitech are a really good make but I'd recommend trying the Romer G switches first because they're different from the more common MX style switches.  Although these companies can be good, they still appeal to the gamer aesthetic" and will usually mark up their keyboards more because they have "gaming" in the name.

If you want to avoid the gamer appeal and just want a solid keyboard: Filco, Ducky and Leopold are your best bet.  All of their boards are built solidly and will last you forever.  If you want to have a go at backlighting, Ducky are the only ones out of the 3 that offer it (it does come in useful from time to time so I do recommend it)
