Well, I use HWMonitor, and the SYSTIN temps right before shut down were 45C.

I was running MSI Kombustor for about 45 and after I started poking about in HW Monitor it finally shut down.

GPU temps were 68C.

In your BIOS you may be able to set a VRM Over Temperature Shutdown value. If so, it should be higher than the VRM Over Temperature Protection value. If you are unable to set the value you might try disabling the feature. This should cause the cpu to throttle (CPU VRM Over Temperature Protection) if the VRM goes over temperature. A condition that should be noticeable and the shutdowns should stop if this is the problem.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Hello.

Couldn't it be the PSU problem, cuz I have the same CX600 and I do have random shutdowns. I'm having setup:
CPU: Intel i5-4440
GPU: Asus R9 280X R9280X-DC2-3GD5-V2
PSU: Corsair CX600
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H
CPU cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper TX3
And other not so important stuff as it doesn't take that much power as CPU with GPU do.

Interensting, but I have random shutdowns even when i'm doing very easy jobs for CPU & GPU like surfing the internet, listening to music, etc. The temperatures at these moments are about 30-35 both on CPU and GPU.

In my case, while under load (maxed out BF4 1080p, for example), probably the PSU is weak, since ASUS webpage says, that GPU consumes up to 300W of power + CPU + other stuff, so it may lack of power, as PSU is able to generate only up to 480W (600W*0,8=480W).

Do I really have to think about changing the PSU?

Thanks.
