Greetings!

I'm brand new here but have been a long time fan of LTT and figured I'd dive into the community.

I have an older build from 2017 that I'm trying to get better performance out of.

Here are the specs:

MSI Gaming Titanium X370 Mobo

Ryzen 1700x {Not OC'd}

GTX 1070 FE {Not OC'd}

Samsung 850 SSD 250GB

16GB of Corsair LPX 2133mhz

MSI AG34CQ Curved Monitor 120hz

Haven't done much tuning besides running Furmark and CPUz and MSI Afterburner.

GPU Temps are a bit high at 82.0 Celsius during the benchmark. 37~ Celsius when idle.

CPU sits at 36 Celsius when idle, 48 Celsius when the benchmark is going.

Just installed the latest GeForce Drivers, version 431.60

It's hard to get a stable frame rate on any game, granted I always push for Ultra settings and the text on my screen looks horrible after the driver updates.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I'm not sure if this will make a huge difference, but disable pagefile in your system configuration... Pagefile was designed for lower end systems with hard drives and smaller amounts of RAM. I boot from an NVMe SSD, I disabled pagefile and I dont notice a difference performance wise, but I did save 32GB worth of SSD space because thats how big the pagefile was.
