Games stuck at 720p. Please help.

So I just finished my PC build and everything is fine, it's in 1080p everything's running smoothly but multiple games won't let me go above 720p even though my native resolution is 1080p. Other games, however, do let me switch to 1080p so I don't know what the problem is. Also, in csgo my game crashes if I switch to fullscreen and in l4d2 my game crashes in fullscreen if I'm above 720p. I've tried reinstalling drivers, deleting possible conflicting drivers etc and nothing will work. Also, I'm using a TV as a monitor, could thay have anything to do with it?

What Gpu are you using / can you specify the TV monitor.

remmber that TV monitors are not meant for games

My specs are:

 

Optiplex 3010 (case and mobo)

i5-3470

XFX RX 570 Black Edition

8GB DDR3 RAM

Cooler Master Masterwatt Lite 700W ATX Power Supply

500GB HDD

120GB SSD

 

And I'm using an acoustic solutions tv, it's a pretty old tv

Ok so as it seems the TV screen is probbly only 720p and some games force the 1080i(1080p for TVs) and your monitor is downgrading them to 720p. so some games just force the 1080 but you would still see 720p its not a problem with your computer but rather your monitor.
