Need a good PSU

xFabstar

Hello,

I need a good PSU for my PC build since it didnt go well with my old Corsair VS650... after some time of playing the Monitors went black and showed "no connection"..

So I have a Ryzen 5 2600 and a RX Vega 64 (Asus edition) on a ASUS Prime B450 Plus Mainboard. What Wattage do I need for that, and which one could be a good Power Supply for that build that isnt that expensive.

I would get a 600 to 700 Watt Seasonic PSU.

something like the M12II-620 EVO

650 watts is still sufficient, but Vega has demanding transients that need a solid PSU. I recommend a Bitfenix Formula gold, it's a great power supply that is pretty affordable, and I also recommended that PSU to a friend who was using Honey, which is a chrome extension for coupons. He got a coupon code for $10 off, give it a whirl.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I would absolutely not put an S12II with a Vega GPU.

^^^ I have the 620 Evo, never ran it with my Vega cards, too scared to. IIRC it's still running on a 10+ year old design and isn't too reliable so I haven't trusted it with my beefy hardware for a good long while, it just sits in a bin now.

What about a Corsair TX650M 80 Plus Gold, I can get that one pretty cheap on amazon right now for 80 euros. And its also important that I can get that one tomorrow already.

It's unfortunate that Seasonic has a reputation now with bad transient response, the only Seasonic unit I'd trust with Vega is a Prime and that's not exactly budget friendly.

That would be a suitable choice.

Yeah. The bitfenix you recommended sounds good, corsair also has a bunch of solid PSU lines, the CX/TX/RM, etc PSUs.

Yes. TXM units are awesome. Semi-modular, very quiet, really reliable. Have one in a watercooled rig for a friend with a 6700K and R9 290X, Hasn't had an issue in nearly 2 years of running with basically no maintenance, I think it's been dusted out once? Still doesn't make any noise at all too.
