Just got a new 4k TV four days ago to play with my Xbox one x. Today while i was playing tomb raider, my son started to shake the tv and now i'm afraid it could have damage it in some way.

Yeah, "rocked'. Sorry for my bad english  xD. This is my new tv in 7 years, so i would like it to last as long as my old one. So when i saw him rocking the tv while i was playing tomb raider it scared me a bit.

NO worries dude, that unit can fall off the wall or get knocked down and nothing happens.  That and also if you smash the screen you can mess it up without getting it to crack.  Your son was playing rock a my baby with your tv,,,,, no worries dude,,,, What TV is it if I may ask ?

If its OLED it can cause burn in which is why Samsung never built a OLED.  Like if you have a game where there is a hud on the bottom or a tv channel with a logo and you watch for hour or so it burns in or bleeding as they say.  So for gaming a non OLED is suggested.  I assume you didn't get OLED ?

I don't know if this tv is OLED, but in the box says IPS 4K Display. Now i'm thinking if this tv is good for games. I should have checked before  :(

I just checked the model it is not OLED ,,,,,, so your good to go... nothing will happen to the monitor.  Also enjoy 4k videos from utube or netflix ,, its amazing!!!  Honestly LG is ahead of the game, Sammy has its QLED while LG is OLED and they sell that tech to other companies.  QLED is more of a software thing while OLED is physical each pixel is different.  It is pretty good but your not going to notice a difference playing AAA titles.  So you got a good tv... enjoy it!   LG is top notch now Sammy is second place.

Also Im assuming the motion tehcnology is at 120 ,, so its sorta like having a 120hz TV ,, They do it through hardware manipulation. While todays 4k are at 60hz but with the motion blah blah technology everyone calls theirs a different name Samsung is 120 motion rate or 240 motion rate so things are smooth as heck and no soap opera motion blur and what not.

If you play AAA titles with a mouse you will have some input lag.  I mean it will be amazing but its just not the 1ms or 2ms that we want.  But if you with joystick then no worries.

Yeah, i'm with joystick, it's better when i playing consoles. I also noticed that games must support 4k in order to have better image quality.

Well for 4k is not image quality,  its just a resolution to make things smaller and actually 4k gaming is way to small for me plus I wont bother cuz I dont have time for freakin 30fps ya know.... Only 2080Ti can handle 4k gaming.  Its just a resolution you see less jaggies.  But you can game at 1440p and turn on bunch of AA methods and its the same as having 4k without AA .. . things are just smaller.  Hardcore gamers play at 1080p and I suggest you play at that resolution.  As long as you don't use a mouse, and use joystick you will enjoy the 120 motion blah,, I forgot what LG calls theirs.. Sammy is 120 MR motion rate or 240 MR on larger screens and what not.

I'll lower the resolution to 1080p then and get better frame rate. Thanks for the talk.

Going to play tomb raider now  xD    take care
