Pc power problem

So my psu randomly died after few days I cleaned my pc and replaced the thermal paste with the liquid metal compound. Worked pwrfectly with the new psu but today it simply turned off by itself. Haven't used it for few hours, came back turned on youtube and it simply turned off. When trying to power it back on it instantly turns off. Psu is still operational.I'm worried it's coorelated to the thermal compound and that the short cuircit occured. However wouldn't that happen right away had the application been innacurate?
