I'm getting Noctua NF-A14s for my new build and I have to use the supplied extension cables to connect the two front fans in my case. Since my motherboard only has three PWM headers for fans, I also have to use the PWM splitters that come with the fans. My question is, does it matter where in the chain of cables I use the splitter? Can I go with either A or B:

A. Motherboard -> splitter -> extension cable -> fan

or

B. Motherboard -> extension cable -> splitter -> fan

In B I would only have to use one extension cable while in A I would have to use two.
