I recently finished building my new PC I've been planning out for about a few months. After taking out the CPU fan and reinstalling it, my computer stops posting. The GPU, motherboard, all fans, and storage work, but I'm not too sure if it's because of my CPU or anything else that is causing it to stop working. All fans spin and all lights that are usually on light up, except for the power button on the front panel.

Current Build:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

Motherboard: MSI Gaming Plus

Ram: 16 GB Ageis Ram

Storage: 120 GB SSD, 1 TB WD HDD

Graphics Card: MSI 1050ti 4 GB Gaming 4x

Case: NZXT H500i

RESOLVED Problem:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

Motherboard: ASUS B450 ROG Gaming Motherboard

Ram: 16 GB Ageis Ram

Storage: 120 GB SSD, 1 TB WD HDD

Graphics Card: MSI 1050ti 4 GB Gaming 4x

Case: NZXT H500i

The GPU had issues after being reinstalled into a new motherboard and completely made me think something else was going on. I updated all drivers from Device Manager and installed NVIDIA drivers so my monitor and computer could recognize that I had a GPU.

highly doubt its a bad CPU unless you pull it out and bent pins. Remove the CPU and inspect the Pins and see if there are any damaged or bent pins.

Yeah, I doubted it was the CPU and since all the other parts of the motherboard were lighting up and the fans were all spinning, I jumped to the conclusion too fast that it was the CPU. Found out it was the motherboard because as soon as I reinstalled all of the parts into an ASUS B450 ROG, the CPU instantly became hot to stock temp. I faced another issue with drivers and my monitor refused to detect the GPU for a while before I installed NVIDIA drivers. Thanks for the suggestion!
