6core or 8 core

so im a gamer by night and 3d character designer by day, im looking at ryzen 3600x but then im also looking at 3700x and im planning on pairing it with the rx5700xt now i think in the future 8cores will be utilized in future games and 8 cores will also benefit me in renders however real time rendering is a thing now so i don't know what to choose please give opinions

New consoles are 8 cores similar to the 3700x, same architecture and stuff, so go for that.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

YouTube. There are several you tubers with productivity benchmarks

The 3700x is noticibly faster.

Older cpus 8core and 6core have much more and more detailed reviews for productivity. 8cores is worth it hands down.

For gaming though. I would save the extra 130 and get a 3600, not the x version. Look at reviews your opinion might be different

(these new cpus can't overclock that much, atleast one YouTuber has actually tried it)
