Beat up mobo

Go to solution Solved by Xenift,

A good indicator for damage would be if the motherboard has an unusual flex to it, or if any of the contact points it has when placed in the box looks dinked up.

It takes quite a lot to break a motherboard in proper shipping box tho.

So today i received my x470 gaming pro carbon from newegg through international shipping and the box seemed pretty beat up, i have some suspicions that the mobo has a problem although it was sealed and looks fine, since I don’t have a cpu or gpu for another month or so I don’t know how to check if it actually works, is there a way? To check if it works without the cpu and gpu?

Not without a CPU or GPU, you wont be able to check until then.

Actually thinking about it the shipping box was pretty damn secure it had air cushions and wrapping just the mobo box had scratches and a dent in the corner so that scared me but the actual mobo seems okay in shape
