Pc not displaying

Hey guys. 

I built my pc about 2 years ago.

Specs Intel Core i5 4460

Asrock B85m-itx motherboard

8gb ddr3 ram

 

It was working until i booted it up the other day now it turns on but doesnt display anything and will not turn off till i hard reset it. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Unpluged and reconnected all the cables made sure everything was connected. I read that it could be the cpu but then i replaced it didnt work. Unpluged the gpu but still didnt work. Tested the PSU and it worked on another system. My next guess is thr motheboard

Try a different port/cable (I notice that the B85m has HDMI and DVI-D so try the other cable into your monitor if you can)

You mentioned here (but not in the original post) that you have a GPU so ignoring the GPU try running a display from the motherboard directly

I tryed running the display through the motherboard same issue.

Also tryed on different monitors also no luck

Haswell was many years ago, a lot more than 2 years. 2013-2014 era. If you built that PC two years ago, you must have used old parts and that doesn't make them 2 years old.

Old parts die. It's probably the motherboard. A perfect time to switch to Zen 2 Ryzen 3000.
